About SlowlyStacking

Welcome! This is my personal net worth tracker — where I document my financial progress. No fluff, no pretending — just numbers.

I update this page monthly to keep myself accountable and hopefully inspire others who are also trying to build wealth.

Why am I creating a website that no one will see you ask!

Tracking my money whether it be in good times or bad is something I genuinely care about. I’ve always had an interest in tracking and growing my finances — not for status, but because I find it therapeutic and it allows me to dictate my life.

The progress might be sluggish and slow at times, but that’s okay. I’m not here to show off; I’m here to build, learn, and keep myself accountable.

You can read below to explore what drives me, dive into My Stacking Mindset for my take on certain financial principles – or cut the chitchat and get straight into my Net Wealth journey.

How we got here

Creating this site and documenting my financial journey is something I’ve always wanted to do but never took the leap…

Until now!

Now, I know what you’re thinking — “Great, another guy on the internet trying to shove confusing financial advice down my throat.”

Nope.

I am not here to give advice nor am I here as a golden ticket to the great beyond. I am here only to provide my journey through the reveal of the unedited figures surrounding my net wealth journey.

Sounds pretty unhelpful to you hey!

You may be asking why have I created the most unhelpful website?

That is a good question. I think it’s because deep down people love pure numbers, numbers don’t lie. They are what helped humankind solve countless worldly problems leading to overwhelming prosperity. From basics of Pythagoras theorem, to putting a man on the moon, to creating MIR machines. Without numbers, humanity would have never gone to space, built cities, cured disease and most importantly created unhelpful websites!!

However, it is for those exact reasons people have become terrified of numbers…

Here’s an example:

Pretty terrifying hey… For those with a keen eye that is the general solution to the Schrödinger equation. What’s that?

No idea.

You see, it’s equations and numbers like those that have been terrifying us mortal humans for generations.

Unfortunately, this discomfort around numbers often carries over into personal finance — whether it’s understanding the basics of debt, navigating high-interest savings accounts, or wrapping your head around every financial nerd’s favourite formula: compound interest.

This website aims to be that tool that rebuilds a bridge between people and numbers. To simplify what people may be too scared to ask a friend, a coworker, a family member.

This isn’t about quitting your job overnight — it’s about building the kind of financial freedom that lets you choose the kind of life you decide. A life on your terms, in your own time, all through the use and understanding of, you guessed it NUMBERS – with if you’ll indulge, my accompanying thoughts.

However, another reason I’ve created this website may be because my girlfriend can’t handle another conversation surrounding Compound Interest, Financial Independance or Dollar Cost Averaging. So it’s either this or an intervention!

So welcome, and maybe together we can begin SlowlyStacking!
